I highly recommend reading The Silence of God: Meditations on prayer by James P. Carse. It is a wonderful book that explores the nature of prayer.
As I ring in the new year, I want to remind myself of the power of prayer. It is a way through which one can open one’s heart. If there is speaking from the heart then it is in the form of prayer.
